ECB CHILD WELFARE POLICY

The League have adopted the ECB Child Welfare (Safe Hands Policy) with all member clubs having appointed a Club Welfare Officer (CWO).

Later in the season, or when possible, all CWO's will be required to attend a further  NSPCC "Time to Listen" Workshop to complete their training which will enable them equipped to deal with any matters should they arise.

Clubs to ensure that coaches, managers, umpires (qualified or unqualified) and anyone else who has direct contact with children are CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checked.

A supply of CRB forms can be obtained from YCB Senior Cricket Development Officer, Andrew Watson.

All ACU&S member umpires are required to complete CRB checks before the start of the coming season.

Parents please be aware of the need to complete an annual application for junior membership form each year until the youngster reaches their 16th birthday. There is also a form for permission for the use of Photographs and Recorded Images. All information available from your local cricket club.

The above policy is to protect young people, vulnerable adults and all the people working within local cricket clubs. Please give it your full support.
