Acess to the ground is through Sea gate view which is just before the Ship Inn Sewerby. Please drive carefully as once through Sea Gate View you are on the cliff top with pedestrians - speed limit is 5mph

Sewerby’s East Yorkshire cricket ground is on Sewerby cliff top overlooking the North Sea lies in front of the Georgian grandeur of Sewerby Hall and commands a panoramic view extending from the spectacular white chalk cliffs of Flamborough Head across the sweep of Bridlington bay towards Spurn Head. The ground is close to the cliff edge and many batsmen have tried, as yet without success, to hit the ball on the full into the sea.

Sewerby has been awarded Focus Club status by the YCB and has also achieved the nationally recognised Clubmark Accreditation. In addition the club attained level 2 of the East  Riding Club Accreditation Scheme.

With success has come growth and the club now boasts two playing areas each with its own pavilion. There are excellent changing facilities for players and officials. The main square is one of the best in the area, regularly providing a feast of runs for the delight of the many spectators who are able to take advantage of the seating which extends around the boundary. The tea room is renowned for its standard of refreshment and the electronic scoreboard can be seen clearly from all round the main ground.

The Club caters for cricketers and cricket lovers of all ages and abilities.

Practice facilities are excellent with bowling machine and outdoor nets available for use. During the cricket season Senior practices are held on Monday and Friday evenings from 6.15pm. Junior coaching takes place on Tuesday evenings for boys and girls from the age of eight years and upwards who may graduate to play in the under 9 team and eventually reach the under 15 team. Junior League matches are often played on Sunday mornings. Parental help and family involvement are welcomed.

The Club First Team plays in the 1st Division of the “Hunters” York and District Senior Cricket League, the Second Team in the “Readers” Scarborough Beckett League Matches are played on Saturday afternoons. The Club also enters a Mid Week Team in the Bridlington and District Evening League.
